Great stay at Henry’s place, the fresh linen weekly was a nice bonus. Z
Thank you both for such a very welcoming friendly stay. You went out of the way to be great hosts. The place is great -bright and spacious and everything works well and the bed is very comfy. Built recently and to a high standard. The area is great - lovely town with good food options, great walks and National Trust & English Heritage houses to visit. Hope to see you again soon. A
We’ve just returned from a lovely few nights staying in The Coach House at Saffron Walden. Henry was on hand from start to finish and communication via the AirBNB app was extremely effective. The Coach House was spotlessly clean with everything that is needed to make you feel that you are home from home. There was also outside space with chairs to enjoy the sunny days. A welcome touch was the bottle of Cava, biscuits and milk in the fridge for a much needed cuppa! Henry was a delight and full of local knowledge and ideas of where to go for good food etc. The Coach House is situated really close to Saffron Walden and the short walk in across the common is very pleasant. The town is lovely, full of independent shops and eateries and so much history. We enjoyed everything about our visit and will definitely stay at The Coach House again. J
Everything was just as described with lovely personal touches. The welcoming bottle of Cava, bottles of water and biscuits were fantastic. And the fresh flowers by the bed and sprigs of lavender were a very welcome touch. Henry & Joanna were very flexible with check-in and check-out which was very appreciated. An excellent experience for my first time in an Airbnb. R
Just returned from a four night stay and would highly recommend The Coach House spotlessly clean with all amenities within easy reach. Henry the host was very friendly. T
A most comfortable place to stay, close to the centre of Walden. It is situated in the grounds of the owners' house and surrounded by a kind of stockade, keeping the rest of the world at bay. The fittings are of high quality and I felt very much at home. The bed and the shower each get ten out of ten - although the clear glass in the bathroom is at first a surprise! A surprise I came to appreciate, seeing trees as I showered. A disadvantage is that the dining table is upstairs, while the kitchen is below. One can always eat at the 'breakfast bar', but I preferred to carry my food upstairs. This should not, however, put anyone off: everything else is so good. Henry is keen on recycling, and regards the world with some amusement. Joanna, too, is very pleasant. They do not intrude on one's privacy. Should you wish to stay in Saffron Walden, you can do no better than stay at The Coach House. M

Lovely Host, and everything was spot on. 100% would stay again. SB
This Coach House interior was tasteful and the facilities have clearly been carefully thought through. I found that the organisation and service was first rate, friendly, and professional. The setting is quiet and relaxing, while being within a comfortable walking distance to the town. JB
Fantastic place in an incredible location. The service was flawless and booking an ease too. AK

We highly recommend the Coach House and would certainly stay again. It is situated in a perfectly private and peaceful location yet only a short walk from the lovely town centre. It is beautifully furnished to a very high standard with many extra personal touches . Henry is the perfect host, very friendly and welcoming. It’s the perfect place to stay for both leisure and work. This is a real gem. R

About Saffron Walden
Saffron Walden, placed at the north-western tip of Essex, is widely regarded as one of the most attractive towns in East Anglia. A busy market is held every Tuesday and Saturday in the historic Market Square, in the centre of the town. An exciting mix of big brand and independent shops occupy the streets leading to the Market Square, along with coffee shops, restaurants and public houses. Saffron Walden has its own museum, within the grounds of the old castle, beautifully tended gardens in Bridge End Gardens and the The Common, a huge expanse of grass for public enjoyment, just two minutes walk from The Coach House. The impressive Audley End House, run by English Heritage, is within walking distance through the parklands that form the picturesque Audley End Estate.
Saffron Walden is very well connected with Stansted Airport only 12 miles away. The M11 junction to London is 5 miles, and the University City of Cambridge is just 15 miles to the north. The Coach House is perfectly positioned for trips around East Anglia with the added bonus of a local railway station for direct routes into Liverpool Street Station, London.
